How did we get here?

TxtSales was first dreamed up in August 2007 when first-time mum, Donnamaree Ryder was on maternity leave and needed to buy a heater for her 6 week-old new born baby girl. As it was now winter and they were living on one income, she needed to find one quickly and at the cheapest price, but she didn't have access to the internet or any sales brochures.

After ringing around 4 different retailers and being put on hold for 20 minutes, only to be told there are a number of them available, she ended up having to take her 6 week old into the winter cold to find the best deal from those stores. She thought... there has got to be an easier way! That is when TxtSales was born!

How does it work? - real simple

TxtSales is a global first. Sales information is now at your fingertips through your mobile. You simply text the item you want to 829 and you will receive back, which retailers have that item on sale and either the price of that item or its sale discount.

No registration or mobile plan is required and you don't need access to a computer or the internet. Nor do you need to rummage around trying to find those pesky brochures you threw away in the rubbish the other day.

All you need is a text capable mobile phone and you are instantly connected, anytime, anywhere, within mobile coverage that is!

As well as offering its revolutionary and innovative interactive keyword text messaging search engine, TxtSales also offers additional services such as its DEAL interactive text messaging search engine, and a mobile and web registration process to support its retailer initiated text messaging service to opted in customers.

The DEAL interactive text messaging search engine enables Retailers to actively provide up-to-date information to their customers via a 160 character text without being intrusive. The text can include sales information as well as promotional information about give-aways or current competitions. Customers simply text DEAL and their favourite retailer's name to 829 and the customer will receive the latest news from their Retailer anytime, anywhere.

TxtSales launched this service with The Mill Liquorsave in October 2008, and it is making fantastic momentum!

Our mobile and web registration process enables you to sign up for a personalised brochure service. You simply agree to receive personalised sales and promotional texts and emails from our registered retailers based on what information you actually want to receive. This service is designed to be a personalised service for you so that you don't receive unwanted, useless information. You only get what you want to get.

retailer initiated text messaging functionality

Our retailer initiated text messaging functionality enables us to run communication campaigns to our customers and our retailer's customers who have agreed to receive sales and promotional texts from those retailers. We do not require set-up fees or a campaign fee to manage our retailer initiated text messaging campaigns and offer highly competitive per text rates.
